Florida Counts Census 2020 Training Session in Jacksonville
March 04, 2020
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Jessie Ball duPont Center, Lecture Hall
40 E. Adams Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202
In partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau, Mayor Lenny Curry and his administration launched the Duval Counts Complete Count Committee. The City is working with strategic partners to use their natural communication and partnership routes to deliver the 2020 Census message and to create momentum and engagement for member participation and response. One of these strategic partners is the Florida Nonprofit Alliance. They will be hosting a Census Training Session on Wednesday, March 4th for nonprofits, organizations and individuals.
Nonprofits are uniquely positioned to help improve the 2020 Census count as they have trusted relationships with communities that have been historically difficult to count and have a base of volunteers who can be mobilized to conduct outreach. Community members may be more likely to respond if they learn more about why it is safe and important for them to be counted. Join Florida Counts for one of their Census 101 trainings across the state.
At the training, you will learn how to integrate Census 2020 in your work, review the Census questionnaire, and receive branded Census collateral. To register, visit the Florida Nonprofit Alliance website by clicking here
